Acceptance

By installing or using Duality, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app and discontinue use.

Self-Custody

Duality is a self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning wallet. You control your recovery phrase and keys. Duality cannot recover your wallet, reverse transactions, freeze funds, or access your funds for you.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding your recovery phrase, device, passkeys, backups, and app lock settings. If you lose access to your recovery phrase or passkey recovery path, funds may be permanently lost.

You are also responsible for complying with laws and tax obligations that apply in your jurisdiction.

No Financial Advice

Duality is software, not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Bitcoin and digital assets are volatile. You may lose value or funds.

Stable Balance And Conversions

Duality may offer a stable balance pocket using token and conversion features provided through Breez Spark infrastructure. This is not a bank account, deposit account, insured product, or guarantee of value. Conversions, exchange rates, liquidity, and token availability may change or fail.

Third-Party Infrastructure

Duality depends on third-party infrastructure including Breez Spark, Lightning Network services, push notification providers, market data providers, and platform services from Apple or Google. Duality is not responsible for outages, routing failures, policy changes, fees, blocked payments, or service changes by those providers.

Quick Pay

Duality may support Quick Pay by QR or NFC below your configured instant limit. By enabling or using Quick Pay, you accept the risk of unintended payments from scanned or tapped payment requests. Review your settings and limits carefully.

No Warranty

Duality is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. The app may contain bugs, service interruptions, or compatibility issues.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duality's developers and maintainers are not liable for lost funds, failed payments, delayed payments, conversion losses, lost recovery phrases, device compromise, service outages, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Duality.

Changes

These terms may be updated as Duality evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
